In case no one has posted yet. Just loaded the patch for the issues. Hope it works. 3:00 PM MDT March 17. Will report back. UPDATE- Color picker works
- Does not freeze and crash when using crop tool.

On occasion I use "auto smart fix" to see if PSE is smarter than me and sometimes it is.  Comes in handy on occasion. - Alt+Ctrl+M still does not invoke this feature
- Alt+Ctrl+M did work before the Feb 3 update
- Using the menu does work for "auto smart fix"
- Auto levels, contrast etc all work using the shortcut keys
Not a biggie, but still ...

Thanks Sepiana Just won't work. Not a biggie. When using Unsharp mask for sharpening, the "preview" works on the main image. The main image can be enlarge to 100% and the Preview button toggled on and off to see the amount of sharpening. Pre-Feb update, when I clicked on the cursor with the little hand in the inset sharpening window, the inset image would toggle back and forth between pre-sharpen and post-sharpen as I clicked and unclicked. It no longer does that. Again, it is livable as the main subject can always be blown up to 100% and Preview checked.  |

This shortcut works for me (update installed on two computers). No problem! The Alt+Ctrl+M shortcut is not working for me. There is a problem on some computers. (Windows 10 Pro, AMD 3700x cpu.) |

Now when you click in the inset sharpening window move the little hand a bit and the sharpening will go away. Release the click and the sharpening is back.
I wish they didn't change it. It's simpler to remember to just click.

The Alt+Ctrl+M shortcut is not working for me. Thanks Moto. Interesting. Do you recall if it worked prior to the Feb update? Mine did and has not since. It is available via the menu vs shortcuts. I find it handy as it sometimes reveals weaknesses in an image that I missed. Then I can go back and adjust (say) light levels manually. Thanks Clive |

pontiac1940 and Moto, It may be a good idea to keep a list of the problems you are both having with this update and report them to Adobe. They need to know.

'Alt+Ctrl+M still does not invoke this feature', does not work for me ether, as well as I press Alt key I get an _ underscore along the top tabs and don't recall this before.
Will notify Adobe as well.

tourerjim The underscores you see when you press the Alt key are the system-wide Access Keys being activated. Not the same as application-specific shortcut keys, more a way of navigating the UI if you are unable to use a mouse or other pointing-device. So when you press Alt, you can then press n to open the Enhance menu, and then s to choose Auto Smart Fix. Can be handy if there isn't a shortcut for something you want to do in Photoshop Elements, but remember it's a keyboard sequence - Alt n s - not Alt+n+s  And as far I'm aware, this feature has been built-in to Photoshop Elements right back to version 1.0

For me, the shortcut for auto smart fix works as before. What has changed with the sliders in the unsharp mask seems to be a general change in the way the previewing window in the various settings dialogs using sliders are working. The complaints came with the original PSE2021 version. Moving the sliders did not show 'in real time' the changes in the preview window, only when you released the slider. The recent March update seems to have changed this behavior slightly. The change in the slider position shows not only when you release the slider, but also if you stop moving for a second or two. So, something is changing in those previews in dialogs with sliders. In a similar way, for the new crop tool in ACR 13.0 for PSE, changing the guides or anchor points is only shown after each move, or if you move very slowly with a powerful hardware. To get a fluid change like in the Photoshop ACR, the GPU is used. Not in the PSE ACR.

Hello: is anyone else experiencing an extraordinarily long time for this update to install? It was the only application running
and it took 65 minutes to get to 81%, where it stuck for over 25 minutes claiming that 4-6 minutes were left. I stopped
the installation and will try again, hoping that someone has an idea why it is so slow.
