Although I am very proficient in editing software I still like to do it old school and do it all in camera some times. My daughter in a russian bearskin hat, a piece of lightly frosted bathroom glass suspended in front of her which was sprayed with fake snow out of a can the type you get for Christmas.

Thank you Marianne, if you did it would have to be when the Aurora bolaris was visible where you live.

I think that's a fantastic result, especially as it isn't 'Photoshop'd' Well done! Many, many years ago, in the days when I had Nikon SLR and several lenses, I remember experimenting with fastening a piece of my tights over the lens (held with an elastic band). I got some very nice 'misty' effects. I've forgotten what I tried and, of course, what I achieved but I remember experimenting with all sorts of materials, some successful and others not. I can hardly believe I was that creative, as I don't feel so creative nowadays. I'll have to see if I've still got any of the photos, or even the negatives. I've only got a little point and shoot compact these days but am beginning to gain some interest again, seeing all the fantastic photography on this forum. Everyone's work is so so inspiring. Thanks to you all

That is really neat. I am not going to ask how you managed to have Kruchev's hat.

Paul,
Thanks for sharing how you did this. I think that Photoshop has made us a little bit lazy with regard to being creative at the time of taking our photos! It's nice to be reminded what can be achieved without having to resort to a lot of post processing mouse clicking!
