Is it possible to import crop overlays (such as the golden spiral) into PSE 2021?

PeterjThis is probably not what you are looking for. A spiral like this jpg off the internet can be flipped however you wish and laid on top of an image and opacity reduced. You can then resize, flip and move it to where you think it might work. You can then select the background layer and crop to suit. Then delete the spiral layer.

Is it possible to import crop overlays (such as the golden spiral) into PSE 2021? Pete, this is an interesting question. I may be wrong (and someone please correct me if I am) but I don't think it is possible to do it in Elements. You may want to check these crop overlays available for download (FREE). They are .png files, RGB mode, vertical and horizontal orientation. Golden Ratio Overlays

Thanks, I'm making png layers ... I was hoping to import them into the crop tool directly.

I made a 4 layer psd file that can be used in any layered program for estimating golden ratio crop overlays ... cloudup.com/ccvMf8462kz

Is it possible to import crop overlays (such as the golden spiral) into PSE 2021? I have no idea what a crop overlay is, so I went searching and found Lightroom has a feature called crop overlays. Is that what you were asking about?

Is that what you were asking about? Yes, Photoshop has them also. What's available in PSE is rather limited: 1) rule of thirds, 2) grid, 3) no restriction, & 4) photographic dimensions

Peterj and Tpgettys, Crop Overlays were introduced in Elements 10 with four options -- None, Rule of Thirds, Grid, and Golden Ratio. Then, starting with Elements 13, Adobe removed the Golden Ratio option.
