Canada goose landing, April 21, 2021 American white pelicans, April 21, 2021 Red-winged blackbird (again), April 21, 2021 All in the ponds across the road.

Great timing on the landing goose Clive, and I love the upswept look on the pelicans too.

Again, your excellence in photography brings us more wonderful sights. I never knew there were white Pelicans until I saw them for myself on the pond in my backyard
Here is something I learned when the White Pelicans started visiting us about 5 years ago:
“During the breeding season, both males and females develop a pronounced bump on the top of their large beaks. This conspicuous growth is shed by the end of the breeding season.”
You can clearly see the bumps in your photo.
