Hi All,
Being a relative beginner in the editing arena and being of an age at which I have forgotten more than I ever knew, I hope this is not common knowledge.
Every person I have ever taken photographs of wants to look 10 years younger. I have struggled with "damping down" those dark rings under the eyes that come with advancing age.
I have tried all sorts of techniques, but to get the result to look natural is never easy and always time consuming.
Today I came across this tutorial on the Web. 1 minute photoshop-Remove Dark Circles Naturally.
It is designed for Photoshop and the presenter succeeds in getting a 20 minute tutorial in just about a minute. It looked so easy and so quick that I decided it was worth while investigating.
It took me about twenty repeats of the tutorial to grasp the essentials.
It will not work for Elements alone, the problem is that you require to use filters with Smart objects, Elements does not provide this facility.
With a little help from Elements + I managed to make it work.
For me the results are outstanding and I keep finding uses for it.
I am not too sure why it works and would appreciate an explanation if anyone has the inclination.
