If I specify a search for messages within the last 2 days I get quite a few hits (4 pages).
If I try 1 day there are only 2 pages.
If I try 1 day and 23 hours I get the same number of hits as with 1 day.
It seems like the hours field is being ignored.

Never mind; I found out on the support forum that this is a known bug, is of low priority, so don't hold our breath for the fix.

Glad you found the answer in the support forum. One of the things I've liked about this forum software is that it seems to be pretty easy to find answers to problems/questions.

Is this working as planned?
I do a search and the thread comes up with the latest response first and no quick reply box.
I prefer to have the thread come up oldest to newest so I can read the history of the thread easily.
I also would like to be able to reply to the thread.
Nothing critical.

I also would like to be able to reply to the thread. You can, just not directly from the posts that come up. Just click on the thread title at the top of the post you want to reply to and you'll be taken to the whole thread. There is a workaround if you want to reply directly from the post that comes up when you search: If you click on Quote, you can delete the quote if necessary, carry on writing your reply & then click on Create Post.
