Understanding that the rules for Nature photography forbid image manipulation makes viewing these all the more impressive. I often seemed to favor the Highly Commended images.

The competition rules state, "Post processing of images is acceptable, provided such processing is not for the purposes of deceiving the viewer and/or misrepresenting nature."
