Hi,
Once again I am asking the forum for help.
I want to create a slideshow using Premiere Elements 10 using images from my Elements 2018 Organizer.
In the tutorial am advised that Premiere 10 does not accept image sizes larger than about 6 mp. and that I should resize the images:
if I am using standard definition out put they should be resized to 1000 x 750
If I am using HDV they should be resized to 2000 x 1500
Some of my jpg images are up to 8Mp
I want to resize multiple images to a different folder and retain my original large sized quality images.
Can this be done?
If I do this will the quality be compromised for viewing on a large TV screen?
I purchased Premiere in a bundle with Elements 10, I have since had 13 and now have 2018.
I have never used the Premiere 10.
I now want to use to convert my Organizer Albums into slide shows but am having all sorts of problems.
I access Premiere via the Welcome page
I only have three options ORGANIZE NEW PROJECT OPEN PROJECT ( see attached image )
If I select NEW PROJECT It takes a long time to open open and I get a project page which allows me to select aname and a destination (see attached image )
I also have an option to Change settings.
Here I select the Hard disk.
I then click OK and it opens what seems to be the project screen. ( see attached image )
I am unable to access the Start screen, which I see on all the video tutorials, which will give me access to the type of editing and Guided Edits.
I am unable to go back to return to previous screens and I can find no link to the START page, I seem to have skipped that step.
Is there some thing that I should have done differently to have accessed the START.
If I now use the functions on the Project screen
In the Show field I close video and Audio and open Still images (The I am not sure if I am opening or closing them, in their final position they indicate:
Hide Video, Hide Audio and Show Still Images, have I turned them on or closed them ). Does the drop down window display an instruction or a state ?
Having Imported the Media from a folder, I then drag the images into the Sceneline and clip blocks show large Thumbnails of the added images.
When I open the timeline there are blue thumbnails with no image, the tutorials show small thumbnails.
I now add a transition which again appears in the Timeline, but no images appear in the preview window.
I have read the relevant sections of the Guide to Premiere 10 and watched the tutorials, but I can't get my screens to look like the screens illustrated and I can't get a Slideshow to work.
Having watched the tutorials I thought it would be a breeze. I have spent all of Saturday afternoon and have nothing to show for it.
