Stuck behind this happy camper doing 20 mph on the highway, I thought at least I could take a picture for this thread.

Stuck behind this happy camper doing 20 mph on the highway, Fun photo Helen. Question: What is harder to pass than a Stanford neuroscience Ph.D. oral exam? Answer: A big motorhome on a two-lane highway.
Joke.

A couple of birds from today's outing... A northern harrier and tundra swan.

Something I like about our forum is how our interest in photography/photo editing serves to connect us regardless of where we're from, what experiences we've had in life, or how old we are. As a result a picture like the one above can be of interest for a variety of reasons. Thanks for sharing, Jim.

Well, for a change the aurora forecast was right. The good show only last 20 minutes or so, but I was set up and ready. Warm-ish, light wind ... good times.

They change constantly: brightness, colors and shapes. Great photographs! I'd love to see that as it's going on. Thanks Mart. They often happen in the UK but there is likely more cloud cover there sometimes and more light pollution from cities. However, I have seen some great photos taken right in cities but the aurora have to be strong. Guildford is actually farther north than where I live so, given the right conditions, last night's show should have been visible. Thanks again! Clive

I hear some areas further north in UK have seen some good displays but here in the wilds of the Surrey/Hants/Berkshire border area , we haven't seen an signs of it so far. I think you are quite right though, light pollution would be the reason.
