The eagles are sticking around. Here they are perched atop a pivot irrigation line. See here.

This morning's reason to smile....I love that little house.
Adding one more taken a few hours later.

Looks like my spider plants have been busy making their own webs 🤣

Looks like my spider plants have been busy making their own webs Do the Spider Plants actually make webs; or, did a herd of ordinary Australian Spiders make the webs on the Spider Plants ?

Fog is that elusive subject that always presents me with a new challenge. I am sure I've posted several pictures of this same scene over the years......here is today's attempt.

We had our Hybrid Perpetual rose, "Paul Neyron" , halfway open in our yard today. A welcome sight for this time of year. When fully open its blooms are usually 5"-6" in diameter with a mild, pleasant fragrance

The dredgers working on beach replenishment were close to shore late this afternoon. Posting two pictures taken from the balcony....one to give an idea of the distance (but also taken with a zoom lens) and the other a more zoomed in and cropped picture of one of the vessels. I was pleased to get the three workers.

dredgers working on beach replenishment My guess is that, if they did nothing, then, once the beach is gone, next to go is all those houses, right ?
and here that little Bible School song they drilled into our heads comes back again ..... "The wise man built his house upon the rock....."

My guess is that, if they did nothing, then, once the beach is gone, next to go is all those houses, right ? Hard to tell from my picture but there is actually a sea wall and a road between the houses in the picture and the ocean. A bigger concern is the two high rise condos that are right on the beachfront. Looking through some old pictures I shared on FB, I think this one might be a good example. There is a rock barrier in front of them that is hard to see in this picture.

Tried to get the dredger on the water tonight......above my skill level....maybe if I started earlier and it wasn't so dark. Anyway, because I spent time trying I'm posting my sorry results. Open to suggestions....not moving fast but moving.

This LIGHT will absolutely set the grass afire a half-a-mile away and already has a 1/4x20 tripod socket.
Screw THIS onto the light.
Mount the whole works into your flash socket on top of the camera and use the ball device to aim the light.
I suspect that such will illuminate the target while keeping everything else in the dark.
If you were on the dredger looking towards your perch in the crow's nest, there are already so many other lights and you are so far away that the spot-light most likely won't even be noticed.
Anyone close enough to see the source is going to get a crick in their neck trying to see where it is coming from.
That is the "new and improved" version of the exact same spotlight that I have except that mine does not have the tripod socket; I have been meaning to epoxy a thick 1/4x20 nut onto mine just for that purpose.
Surprisingly, especially considering how penetrating bright it is, the entire light weighs less than a feather.
If this experiment fails, you can still use the light on the next prowler to better improve your aim and save lead.

Thanks for taking the time to share that info, BuckSkin. Unfortunately, it isn't in keeping with my KISS approach to photography.
