Noctilucent clouds just before midnight, June 27, 2021 with the old house in the foreground. (Could not post in in the new, Today's Photo thread by 40 minutes. ) These wavy, icy-colored "clouds" are patches of ice crystals at 50 to 80 km altitude with the sun shining on them. The photos were shot at f8 (for DOF), ISO 400 and 4 seconds. The old house was light painted.

I agree with Jim. That old house is a wonderful subject and the sky is so dramatic. In addition to the picture, I am impressed that you were out with your camera at that time of night!

Surely this must be worthy of taking up some wall space somewhere? I'm trying my best to stay up late to watch the tennis from Wimbledon, is Mrs Clive watching too?

Thanks all. Appreciate your comments. Was a good time. Slowly getting less spooked in the dark, mind you I carry some serious flashlight power.
Jacki...thanks, someone has asked for a print..And, yes, Mrs. Clive is deep into Wimbledon. 👍😊 I had not seen her for six days as I was away. Ha ha I might not see her much in the next couple of Wimbledon weeks. Bonk bonk. Love 15. Bonk bonk. Love 30. She has a tight sked: sleep, brekkie, quilting or tennis or both. Lunch. Etc. Repeat. 😊

Repeat. 😊 It's not being telecast on a channel that I can tape and then watch at my leisure, I would love Mrs Clive's schedule. Instead I have to try and stay awake til the early hours of the morning, a practice that I gave away long ago.....
