Very elegant piece, Lillias. The shade of blue that you chose adds to the "royal" feeling. I am going to make note of that color.

All these cameos are so cool - great idea for a challenge - really brought out the inventiveness of our 'artists'

Just tripped over this bit of the forum and as it is wet wet wet here I have some free time. This was one of my cats - Roxie, an Abyssinnian. Standard frame from PE, a bit of bevel and drop shadow on the edges.

It has been a real privilege for me to be a part of the CE Challenge Team here for the past 4 years but I feel it’s time now to take a break so this will be my last tutorial for the Challenge. I want to thank everyone who has taken part with me over these years. I have enjoyed it and I hope you have too. Thanks for hosting the Creative Effects Challenge Lillias; has it really be four years already?! I have really appreciated the tutorials you have shared with us. For this one I am grateful to have learned about HiClipart.com; they have an enormous collection of PNGs! I used two for the frame and silhouette from there. The room is from Pixabay.

Thank you for your kind words Tom. You have created a classic elegant room and I like the gradients in the cameos which serve to highlight the silhouettes. Very nice.

Very stylish and elegant Helen. I like that crackle texture background and the addition of the scrolls.

Trying to learn selections and so forth and got this. Not planning on making these tree buds into a cameo, but? How would I add one of those fancy cameo frames?

To add one of the frames go to HiClipart.com and in the search bar search for Oval Frames (since your piece is oval) and you will find quite a lot to choose from. They are free so just download it and bring it into your document and place it over your piece. You may have to use transform to resize the frame to fit and that should be that.

I don't have anything to add to what Lillias said, other than to let you know that the files at HiClipart.com are PNG files. What that means is that the images are transparent other than the subject, so it is especially easy to use them! Give it a try and if you have any questions I trust you know you will get an answer if you ask.
