Draws me right into the scene Both images were taken within several minutes from basically the same location; the only difference from me just turning around and taking the shot is that there was a very un-photogenic maintenance box, complete with eyesore solar panel, that I walked about 100-feet past to keep it out of the picture. Notice the dramatic difference in the sky between the two shots; one facing North, the other South, in basically the same spot at the same time. If I had of had more nerve (and less sense), I would have stepped between the rails to see how that might have improved the perspective; maybe gotten lower as well. |

The sky certainly caught my attention in both of the images; it is what caused me to perceive them so differently. The one when you were looking in the other direction had a more tranquil look about it. |
