Well not all abandoned things are old. Some are new, and some just get new squatters when they are abandoned. Michael, nice thinking out of the box! This scene made me smile; these two squatters got it made. Welcome to the Weekly Photo Challenge! Looking forward to your continuing participation in this challenge.

The fellow who lives here made the robot on the left many (many) years ago from abandoned scraps, and used it as his Halloween costume. More recently he and his wife brought it into the yard as a Halloween decoration, and the neighbors wouldn't let him take it back indoors. The robot was a solo act until Covid hit. The fellow figured he couldn't fix Covid, but maybe he could cheer up his neighbors a bit so he began building more robots from found items. There are others in the yard, and the way Covid is going, there will likely be more. I'm told to come back at Halloween when they will all 'come to life.' Thanks for the theme Tony and Sepiana! Bill, this takes Abandoned to another level. Nice to see abandoned scraps being turned into an art form. Great job capturing these robots!

Thought I'd try a different angle on this abandoned farmhouse. I didn't stay too long as the farmer had recently spread manure on the field behind and in the current hot and humid weather the pong was potent ... Tony, I really like this angle. Great choice for capturing this farmhouse! Our eyes are drawn upwards absorbing all the signs of abandonment.
