Hi everyone, Would you like to participate in the Weekly Photo Challenge? Just take a photo that is your interpretation of the theme and post it in this thread. The rules are rather simple.
- Your photo(s) should be your own, i.e., they should not have been taken by someone else. - Photoshopping is allowed but should be kept to the basics only rather than a total transformation. - Grab your camera, experiment, and, most of all, have fun.NOTEThis week's theme was suggested by tonyw. (Thanks, Tony!)

I'll start this off with a couple of subjects that I pass by regularly and which made me think of the theme - today I stopped to photograph them. Both abandoned pieces of farm equipment by the side of the road - seems a rather common sight around here. First is a IH 170 Windrower/Swather - probably around 50 years old and the second a tractor of unknown origin or age (recognize it anyone?). One confession - a dull day so I sky replaced both and, as I was figuring out how to add and use the new sky packs that came with the latest update of Photoshop, these were PS skies and not ones of mine. Tony

This truck has been in the same spot for the 20 years that we have lived here.

A long abandoned house ... probably dates to the 20s or 30s and was a large house in the day. Near Cowley, Alberta.

A cloudy day was what I needed for this shot. Got my wish! Abandoned telegraph or train signal wires. I don't know what the vignette is from, used telephoto at max, so maybe that was it??

Well not all abandoned things are old. Some are new, and some just get new squatters when they are abandoned.

Probably NOT what you would be thinking for "Abandoned". However, this house (?) was abandoned before it was ever completed and has been an eyesore and subject of frequent speculation as to what could ever be done with it for years. It would be too expensive to tear down and too costly to complete. The inside is an empty shell.

The fellow who lives here made the robot on the left many (many) years ago from abandoned scraps, and used it as his Halloween costume. More recently he and his wife brought it into the yard as a Halloween decoration, and the neighbors wouldn't let him take it back indoors. The robot was a solo act until Covid hit. The fellow figured he couldn't fix Covid, but maybe he could cheer up his neighbors a bit so he began building more robots from found items. There are others in the yard, and the way Covid is going, there will likely be more. I'm told to come back at Halloween when they will all 'come to life.' Thanks for the theme Tony and Sepiana!

Thought I'd try a different angle on this abandoned farmhouse. I didn't stay too long as the farmer had recently spread manure on the field behind and in the current hot and humid weather the pong was potent ... Tony

Time has taken a toll on this abandoned farm equipment and your two images show it.
