These were created the old fashioned way - back when I didn't understand pixel size so they are not very clearTo create this without PSE's help, each letter must be on it's own layer Clip a photo to each letter Doing it manually is probably the reason the words are only 3 letters long Photos of cats are probably from photobucket Photos of BonJovi are from my album covers
At that same link, there is a video about placing one photo into text "How to Gurus" have some of the best PSE videos - easy to understand, great examples Photo is mine

I especially like how you used the tiger to fill in the vacation letter, Janice.

Thanks Helen. When looking through my stuff, I did not find a lot of examples. I know I've used this technique many many times on layouts, but of course, when you are trying to find them, it's a no-go. I think most of my usage of that technique were in Christmas cards. Each year I used to make upwards of 40 individual greeting cards and often used this technique as a decorative greeting. I still make birthday cards, but I've replaced the Christmas Cards with newsletters with photos. The person who did these graphics - pc crafter - is out of business, but she had the most fun site with so many cute graphics. The greeting was made with a wood-looking background paper clipped to the text with a bevel layer style added to complete the wood look.
This was my gradients phase - so many things had gradients

One more example, I swear - but who can resist this cutey - he's 13 now - deaf and a little arthritic, but still so very cute and no, I'm not talking about my nephew (although he is also so very cute)Outline added to title - then bevel layer style to complete look Used technique again on this page -- Clipped photo to heart shape Remember - You can clip photos to any shape or text - the more solid the shape, the more photo you will see
