Instead of eliminating the Lightroom section of the board, why not repurpose it to "All Other Adobe Software" and that would separate the Lightroom, Photoshop, and other Adobe messages from "All Other" ?

Thank you for taking the time to comment on our changes BuckSkin. To give you some insight on how we think about these things: - Having too few boards can cause confusion about which board to use for what topic. Too many boards and you don't get a critical mass of use and they tend to languish. - As Camera Raw will still have its own board, the only other Adobe product is Photoshop. We don't get a lot of posts on Photoshop, much like Lightroom. So separating Adobe from "all other" runs the risk of two boards that don't get sufficient attention. - From a practical standpoint, there is no way to move all existing Photoshop content into a "other Adobe" board, which would mean the content for Photoshop would be in two board. |

Thank you to Andy and all the administrators for your care and time. These changes, well explained, are all good to me. I have two quick questions and one quick comment :
1) I am glad to see that the “Lightroom – Resources” thread has been transferred as is. I hope it will still be updated. Will it?
2) Do I understand well that all the existing content of the old “Lightroom” board has been transferred into the new “Other Photo Organizing and Editing Software” board?
3) From now on, when posting in the new “Other Photo Organizing and Editing Software” board, to facilitate eventual searches, I will try when possible to identify in the title of the threads I start the software I am talking or inquiring about. Most people already do so naturally most of the time.

Just wanted to thank all the Admins on this forum for all you do for us to keep the forum active and interesting.
I would also like to say a big thank you for broadening the scope of the Digital Scrapbook Board to include Digital Art.
