this was hilarious watching this male trying to impress the female. At one point he actually chased her with his tail up as you see it and he moved pretty darned fast!  |

When I moused over the title and read the first few words, I thought you were talking about humans, until I got to the part about the tail..... Years ago, when I lived where I grew up, our scizophrenic tri-polar nut-job neighbor had peacocks, dozens and dozens of them. They were better than watchdogs. Anything that they thought needed hollering at, they would set to hollering; and, that sound carried for miles. My aunt and uncle have a big flock of them; seeing your excellent photo has gotten me in the notion to catch them gone and swipe me a couple to keep around here. |
