Using the word art as the central focus of the page works very well. Good job. I have been trying word art and I've discovered using a short word doesn't seem to work all that well. My favorite examples of this are the multi-syllable words. I'm trying to get something ready to post, but I'm not doing well.

Pretty as a PictureAt first, I didn't like the word art using a small word with only two syllables, but when integrated into a layout, it looks OKAnother case of 'layout feels unfinished", but after trying to add 'noise' to background and having it interfere with ribbons, and adding other items seemed to be an afterthought, I gave up. This was slightly scraplifted - in that I used triangles and ribbon/flower placement from another's layout You can get inspiration from just about anything...Graphics - Rosie Photo - Personal

First of all, thank you for the lovely comment on my water lilies, Janice.
Jacki, your page kind of looks like a plaque so to my eye your composition works well with the images you've added......if you can follow my drift!
Janice, Lillias set the bar high with her examples, and I do like the look of the three syllable words. I think your page is definitely more than "OK". The picture is so sweet and the colors, design and added elements make your page very special.

Very pretty page Janice. The main subject is pretty in pink and looks beautiful. The colours are soft and go together well and love that cluster.

Janice, your pretty in pink page is delightful, I think the ribbons dividing the page works really well, as do your colour combinations.

Thanks everyone. I do love those soft colors
EDIT I uploaded version 2 next to version 1 for comparison added texture to both main colors - left by blending a paper with it, right by using a brush changed the color of one of the layers to make a semi-border Made the flower a little larger and twisted it slightly
That's all I'm doing. You can tweak a layout forever, so I usually don't revisit a layout, but ...

I like the hint of texture you added. The darker pink added to the border keeps our eye focused on the main part of the layout. Interesting to see the difference small changes can make.

I like the added texture too and the pink border.

Thanks for the comments. That word art is growing on me. I think it just needed the right medium to showcase it.

I like this page, but I think the dictionary definition left out 'fearlessness' and 'determination'....
