This farm is located on the North side of Ky Hwy 100, East of Flippin, between Flippin and Gum Tree, and near Mud Lick. The farm is accessed via the North side of KY Hwy 1366/County House Road. With a name like County House Road, it leads me to believe that The Poor House and most likely also The Poor Farm were on this road. Not visible in the hollow between the foreground and the structures is the South Fork of Indian Creek. Barely visible on the far side of the creek is KY Hwy 1366/County House Road. Photo Taken from a Moving Vehicle Westbound KY Hwy 100 Fountain Run - Monroe County Cumberland River Ferry Roadtrip Wednesday_10-June-2020 The distance in the first shot, from the grain bin to the camera, is 8/10-mile, 1410-yards. The distance in the second shot, from the grain bin to the camera, is 3/4-mile, 1296-yards. We rounded a bend and lost some elevation between the first and second shots.

Not too far from there is Bugtussle; Monkey's Eyebrow, Possum Trot, and Hardscratch; we're not short on creative place names. Enough Ammonia Nitrate and you can make a desert look fertile, providing it rains; it makes everything green as poison.
