I had an excellent photo day. Took a drive to find snow geese (found a few thousand) and came across some rough-legged hawks...good.
When I got home we went for a walk around the ponds across the road. Lots of mallards hanging around one pond with some open water. These guys stood out. Nice late afternoon light reflected off the ice.
Some people who do not take many photos wonder why some of us (like me) take so many photos. I love sharing but most importantly getting a good photo on occasion just makes me happy...shared or not.
Despite being quite a heavy crop the IQ is still suitable in this photo. I did jazz up saturation a titch, but when the sun hits a drake's head "just so" it is special anyway.
