What do you guys think ?
Is USPS going to be in as big or worse mess this year as last ?
Should I go ahead and do my shopping and forego any sale savings, and also not use up all of my free return grace period waiting on stranded packages ?
Since I found Amazon, EBay, and RockAuto, I have not been in a brick and mortar store in years.

Skip USPS go UPS. Have not had any troubles with them.
And, yes, I would shop early even though that might mean missing some bargains.

And, yes, I would shop early even though that might mean missing some bargains. I believe I will. What irks me is that, if they can sell something for a huge savings one day, they could make money selling it at that price every day. Where Amazon is concerned, I put things I want in a "wish list" and give it a look-over a couple times a day; often, something will drop to a very tempting price for a couple hours only and then shoot up higher than it was before and maybe not come back down for months; the trick is to be vigilant and grab it when the price drops. I keep track of the prices in the "notes" or "comments" or whatever it is called, price and date; it does take a bit of time, but it pays off. A lot of people don't look at it this way and don't want to be bothered with the headwork involved; but, as old uncle Ben used to say, a penny saved is a penny earned; if one will consider "just how many hours am I going to have to work to make up this difference", then they might start being a little wiser about their shopping.
