I am testing a CF>SD Card adapter and some new SDXC cards in the card reader before I trust them in a camera.
I have been using the exact same brand CF>SD adapter with excellent results and can't see that it slows things down in the least.
The card says 80MBs Read/35MBs Write
I copied an almost 10GB batch of RAW and Large jpeg files from the computer to the card; the little speed readout held fairly steady at 36.3 MBs and above.
The reader and it's cable and connection are USB-3.0
How accurate is the little speed readout in Windows 7 ?

I thing the transfer speeds should be fairly accurate.
It shouldn't be a too hard a task for the OS to count how many MB have come across in a set interval and then use its clock to divide by the time it took.
The speeds quoted on memory cards are normally closer to their minimum speeds.
