Has the UK version been discounted yet, it only had the normal upgrade price when I checked a few days ago when booting Photoshop elements 15 up and clicking on upgrade Photoshop screen. I can't recall if it was reduced last year during black Friday in the UK. Oh and hi all, it's been a long time since I last commented.

Hi shaun, pleased to see you back here. After I read your post, I checked the Adobe-UK site. As of this writing, these are their prices for PSE 2022.

Sorry Shaun, I don't know if the sale applies in other country's. Just an idea, I don't know if this will work, go to the U.S. adobe website an see if you can download it at U.S. price/conversion.

I've had a quick look and it appears to be for the Mac only. Will keep checking to see if the Windows version gets the same discount.
Edit to say that I've now found a Window version PSE2022 PC but am puzzled as it says: Adobe Photoshop Elements 2022|Standard|1 Device| 1 Year|PC/Mac|Disc and the prices are: Standard £54.99 but Upgrade £70.99.
It looks suspicious to me and don't want to risk messing up my PSE or losing it in 12 months time.

Shaun and ChrisAnn, I found this - PC download version of PSE 2022. And it does not say one year only.

I've purchased the one suggested by Moto and it is currently installing itself. It's a bit of a maze trying to get from Amazon to Adobe and then to the right place but with a bit of huffing and puffing I managed it. Just stand by for the inevitable question as to how I can get straight to the Editor or Organiser without having to go through the adobe welcome screen but may be, just may be, I'll find where I saved the solution the last time I went through the process. It's a Christmas present from my husband ... I wonder whether he'll forget about it by the time Christmas actually arrives.

The problem is that the latest wording of the type of license is no longer 'perpetual', which so many users understand as being perpetually updated for any future OS and hardware. So they have chosen to distinguish between 'subscribe' and 'buy once'. Many vendors adapt the buying form of Adobe and use 1 year, not understanding that it's not a yearly subscription. The best mistake in that translation is the French version of the purchase form for PSE 2022: Instead of the button 'acheter = buy', they have the button 's'abonner = subscribe'. That together 'acheter' on top and 'achat unique = buy once' on the bottom. We'll see how long they take to correct it !
Just checked, it has been corrected since my post !

I could not resist. Amazon France Black Friday offer: €38.99. No installation problem except a message stating that my hardware config here, away from Paris, did not meet the system requirements to enable face recognition. Not a problem for me because I never use it, but I was asked to send a mail to get helped on that matter. Perhaps because of an AMD processor and not an Intel one? By the way, on my Paris machine, use of the GPU was disabled on PSE2022 (not compatible); here it stays enabled.

Thanks Andy! It worked like a charm, as in painless install. Getting an extra $10 discount was the deciding factor for me.
