Late-day light on "my" ponds after some snow today (December 4, 2021). It's getting colder here. The big pond to the west is still ice-free (well ice-free again) but will be rock solid by week's end and stay frozen until March. All good.

Going Down The beautiful Handley Library in Winchester, Virginia completed in 1913 in the Beaux-Arts style. It is designed to resemble an open book with the dome representing the spine and the two wings representing the covers. (notice the curved radiator not photo manipulation!!))

In the order they were submitted I am choosing the following three to comment on: 1. After the Storm I find this to be a beautiful capture of the light. I like the contrast of the snowy branches against the blue sky and the whispy clouds. 2. Setting sun backlighting valley trees, Dec 6 2021 This reminds me of a painting similar to those of The Hudson River School. I loved it the minute I saw it.
3. Spellbound Beautiful dog, beautiful eyes.....and I like the way all those fine hairs stand out against the background.
With only 13 images to choose from, I still found this a difficult task. Wonderful work has been shared in this thread. Thank you to all who participated. I look forward to seeing the work that stood out to others.
