Beautiful captures Judy. Great expressions on the father and son. So sad to hear about the father. Love how the sea bird stands out against the background and the interesting textures and patterns.

Wow this task was hard but good. It made me look at all the photos I marked as a favorite and then go back and forth between a number of them to narrow it down to just 2 that I felt were at the top of that group for 2021. Wispy - we like to hike at a nearby regional park that borders a thoroughbred horse ranch. The horses like to come to the fence for treats and it's a delight to see them and how my grandchildren interact with them. This gal was walking towards the 'smorgasbord' when I caught this portrait. You say Tomato I say . . - I finally purchased a light box and thought I would use it often, especially with COVID, but as it turned out I've never set it up . . this still-life was instead done using natural light on our kitchen table. I am able to see Dan's pictures on my phone but not on my computer. On the computer I see the same symbols that Pat sees. I have left them in place and added screenshots of the pictures that Dan chose from his gallery. Helen Edit 2.......removed the circle symbols.

dandc, I think you have had an exceptional year with your images! Unfortunately, I can't see either one of these - all I see is a circle with a minus symbol in it. Is anyone else seeing this?

dandc, thank you so much for adding your pictures. Two great choices and I loved reading the backstories.

I can see the Dandc's images now, but there is a big space between them. (I have a gamer's laptop) Lovely images both - the colours and capture of the horse is marvellous!

I removed the circle symbols. You should now see Dan's two pictures and no extras.

Thank you hmca for taking care of my photos - I thought I posted them using the same method I use for the Image Gallery but I guess I messed up somewhere - sorry for the hiccup.

dandcNice photos. You can see the soul of the horse. So cool. Natural window light can be amazing as you have shown.

Great thread Pat and lovely selection of images. I had to give this some thought. I wouldn't say these were my best two but they are two that I like... First one...credits - This page is composed from several kits all from Raspberry Road Designs... Kits: Faded Love, Beautiful Day Digi Stamps, Back in Time, and Twigs and Berries. Second one...credits - BG is from ‘Muted Colours’ kit by Anita Designs. Images from HiClipart. Photo Mask and items from Ashe Design kits.

BillieJean those are awesome layouts - you have such a knack with colors and textures. Have to admit, I've been waiting for someone to post their best layouts!
Fotofrank, I really had to look at your first image - there's am amazing amount of intriguing objects in there, ....and how on earth did anyone get that boat in that shed???

tourerjim.....so glad you added that image here and told about its creation. I remember seeing it in the IOW thread but it was small and I hadn't recognized that it was a 3D image. You chose two beautifully designed examples to share, Lillias. All of the elements work so well together. fotofrank, I don't remember seeing either of those images.....they are great examples of your creative style. Thanks for sharing.
