I like them all Pete and can see why you are having a hard time choosing. For what it's worth, this is the way I see them.
The middle image is a straight-forward natural looking portrait. The bottom tells a little bit more of your "story" with your location image in the background.
The top image would be my choice. It creatively reflects your interest in photography. I like the way you set it up and the toning you chose for the image. I really like this one a lot
Will be interesting to see what other members suggest. Thanks for sharing this with us!

Ditto on all counts including the first selection. Was there a stipulation that you had to be identifiable or is there an open definition of selfie? Good work.

The bottom choice - - the portrait color stands out too much. It doesn’t blend. I’d like to see it changed to sepia
The top choice - - using a copy of photo as framing often works, but in this case, having that piece of head in the frame really bothers me, but to be honest, I don’t like the effect at all because there is also a piece of leg…
The plain portrait is most appealing

I think the top and bottom are more descriptive of your character, but I agree with Cats4jan that the portrait needs to blend into the bottom image, and the frame needs to be eliminated or solidified in the first image.
Tough to choose!

Pete, I like the toning of the first photo, but I have problems with it for the reasons cats4jan has mentioned. I really like the 2nd image as a portrait shot but, in my mind, feel that if you toned it it like the first one that it might add a bit of a nice artistic touch to it. Just my 2 cents worth.

I prefer either of the top 2. The first one is an interesting photo showing yourself and your photographic interest. The second is a nice portrait.

Please don't take this the wrong way but personally I don't think pictures with faces work well without a storyline.

I love the final versions, however I can’t seem to choose a favorite- they all work in different ways

They were good suggestions to remove the top of the head from frame. First one to me now is a perfect choice.
