I've been using panos autoalign and autoblend actions for years with Elements. I just recently figured out a neat tip for using autoblend so the computer does the work instead of me filling in blank areas after I've straightened an image. You might still have to do some fixing, but I've found that the action does a pretty good job. The trick is to bring in your original, get rid of the padlock, straighten the image, copy the image, highlight both layers and use the autoblend action.

Pat, thanks for this tip! This is really neat.
I have lots of actions by Panos but not this one. How did you get these actions? I can't find them on his website.

Sepiana, I've had these actions since I started with Elements and have just copied them to each new version. I assumed they were from Panos but maybe not. I would have got them from the original Elements website which was replaced with this one. I can put a copy up on this website, but I'm not really sure how to do that?

Yes that's right. I believe they were free at the time. I use them all the time mainly with stacked images, but they work so well for this blending tip too.
