Note: this photo has been posted on PSEM before. tourerjim commented on a canvas print in the background of the amaryllis photo so my ego pressured me into sharing this photo. Long story, short version. We had been at the spot earlier in the day because of the interesting rainwater patterns on the red rocks. Our rental house was about 3 km away. That evening I was cooking dinner and looked out of the kitchen window to see this very cool late-day sunlight on Courthouse Butte. So I grabbed my gear and after breaking a few moving-traffic laws arrived at the same parking area we had been at a few hours before. Set up my camera on the tripod and took a couple of photos and then for a couple of minutes (3 tops) a partial double rainbow appeared. It was magical. And then it ended. Lucky me. This 24-inch by 36-inch canvas hangs in our sitting room. A pleasant memory. Courthouse Butte, near Village of Oak Creek (Sedona), Arizona, USA. February 23, 2015.
