Artist Trading CardsWhat are Artist Trading Cards, or ATC’s? ATC’s are small pieces of art, only 2.5″ x 3.5″ that are traded or swapped with other artists. They are like the creative version of baseball trading cards. Although you might think that ATC’s lend themselves more to traditional paper scrapbooking because you exchange them with others, (and personally, I believe this is where they originated) the concept of digital ATC’s has become popular. I have only recently been made aware of their existence and although I have to admit, the concept of ‘trading’ ATC's (either paper or digital) makes no sense to me, I am bringing this idea to you so that those of you intimidated by creating a 12 x 12 layout can give this form of digital scrapbooking a try. ————————————— So, let’s make DIGITAL ATC’sOpen a new canvas. Like 12 x 12 scrapbook layouts, choose 300 resolution - Choose this resolution so items from any scrapbook kit can be used on your ATC ATC’s can be portrait or landscape oriented Your 3.5 x 2.5 canvas should be 1050 pixels x 750 pixels Your 2.5 x 3.5 canvas should be 750 pixels x 1050 pixels There are no rules for this challenge. You can go traditional scrapbook or super artsy Although I have seen ATC’s mentioned in articles from as early as 2007 (so this form of scrapbooking has been around for a long time) the gist of the above information came from a 2017 article,

I guess with NTFs so popular now it was only a matter of time before digital ATCs caught on.

Helen - so very pretty. I especially like the use of the muted photo as background
Michael - had never heard of NFTs - interesting concept.

Made this one when a neighbor was building a swimming pool in her yard. ATC's remind me of digital greeting cards...

Pool is all done, but in a community where there is both an indoor and outdoor pool, I’m not sure why people put pools in their yards
