Otway Ranges National Park and Triple Falls.
Lots of ferns, fungi and fresh mountain air. Classed a cool temperate rainforest, and sometimes they even get snow!

Triplet Falls is a Grade 2, 1.8 km walk from the carpark. There are some steep descents and the steps are helpful and my knees are only just beginning to talk to me again....

BuckSkin, back in the day, 1880’s logging was the main industry in the area, I think this was a kind of dray pulled by horses along a rail track to get the logs out of the forest. Logging is now banned , but it did go on for 150 years or so, beech, iron bark and eucalypts. There was a sign but it was so overgrown with lichen which made it unreadable so I didn’t take a photo.

Those ferns are just gorgeous. I was intrigued by the tree stump made to look like a little house. Quite fun. I'm assuming the little family were not at home when you took the photo? LOL.
