It was a very nice calm 67° yesterday when I took these photos; now, at midnight, it is 23° with two inches of snow on the porch and still putting it down. According to the forecast, 25° is supposed to be as warm as it gets today(Saturday), with an expected low of 12° tonight. Everyone around here calls these " March Flowers" They just grow wild wherever they decide to. Friday_11-March-2022

Same flowers 20-hours later. It dropped overnight from a calm and sunny 67° to a fierce windy 21° with about two inches of snow. If the ground had not been so warm, we would have had a foot of snow. Saturday_12-March-2022

Nice daffs. They will perk up. Ours take a major frost hit most years. Ours are still underground and (weather depending) won't poke thru for a while and will bloom in mid to late April...some weeks off yet.

That’s just how I feel tonight. We had a taste of spring and then freezing temps. I know it will leave as fast as it came, but…

When I was a kid, we would put them in a tall glass of water (we never had vases; I didn't know what a vase was until I was near thirty) and add a few drops of Easter Egg color; in half-an-hour, the tips of the petals would be whatever color the Easter Egg color was; of course, we had to use a different glass for each color.

Plants sure have to be tough under these changing conditions!

Plants sure have to be tough under these changing conditions Yes. Around here, plants are better off staying dormant but we do get wild swings in temps and they get confused. (Like me! ) In the past 3 weeks temps here have ranged from +15°C to -31°C. Last Wed was - 19 and tomorrow will be +12°. Daffs can be wilted from a freeze and yet recover. Crazy stuff.
