Hi Sepiana I used the link as per your instructions. Instead of an Actions file I got a Word document which gave me File conversion window I hit the OK button and it gave me the code but not the .atn file See screen views below.

Go to Window>Actions on the top menu bar. 3. Click on the four-lined square in the upper right corner of the Actions panel and select Load Actions. 4. In the dialog box that opens up navigate to where you saved the action (.atn file) on your computer and click on the Load button. (Or you can just double-click on the .atn file.) 5. To run the action click on the Play button in the panel's upper right corner.

Hi Sepiana,
My problem is that when I open the Zipped folder I never get an Actions file like the one you show above. It has everything else as per your image but no "Action" file, in its place I get a Word document.
When I open this I get the File conversion sheet I sent you an image of. I can find no way to use this file conversion to produce an .atn file
I never get an .atn file to save on my computer or load into my Actions panel. Possibly a setting on my computer?

Hi Popcorn Thought I would give a try. I started with Enhance>Adjust Color>Adjust for skin tone. Then levels using the white eyedropper tool and selected the young man’s white shirt. Removed the shadow by painting over it. Selected the hair of the young man and used Enhance>Adjust Lighting>Shadows/Highlights and made some adjustments. Added some coloring to the hair. BTW, great photo.

I used all the methods received on this thread and the most natural and representative result was obtained by using "Auto Color Correction" which left a slight blue tint in the image, then using "adjust color" > Remove color Cast" once. The whites were white, the skin tones were good and the green wall was the the correct hue. Took two minutes!! Never again will I be an editing snob. If you don't mind sharing, it would be great to see your final edit. As has been stated before, we all learn from images that are submitted to this board with editing questions.

Hi Helen,
For better or for worse, here it is for comment. I will try to send the .psd but I doubt that imgbb will accept it. If not I will send you a high quality jpg or send a WeTransfer to your email you.

The .psd did not work, here is the .jpg. I have subequently noticed that a little flash shadow remain on the top of his head, it becomes part of his hair. My most difficult problem was getting the green wall right with a white. The green colour in this photo is true to life, all other methods rendered it much more olive with a yellow tinge. It also gave the correct skin tones and hair colour. I just gave the auto a little boost using remove colour cast. I started with a 6 meg jpg file and ended with a 48 meg .psd !!!

Thanks, Popcorn.
The PSD is not necessary. With different edits proposed and offered it is helpful to see the one that meets your expectations for the picture. From past posts that you have made, I have seen that you know ahead of time just what you want to achieve and examine your work with a fine eye. Another example is your feather image. Learning from each other is an important component of our forum. This certainly is a great photo....love the way the little boy is looking at your son.

The little boy is one of my 3 grandsons. Matthew, my son was as we say in Afrikaans, 'n Laat lammetjie, a late lamb.
