Hi surfbug, In a nutshell, . . . Adobe Camera Raw is a plug-in that comes with Elements. This plug-in is the engine (heart?) of the Adobe Raw Converter in Elements. ACR enables you to convert the Raw files you shoot with your camera as well as to make corrections/adjustments to these files before you even open them in the Editor. Adobe regularly updates ACR to add support for new cameras and lenses. Which camera do you have? This information will help us find out if your camera is supported by the version of Elements you have.

I've Sony W800 Digital Camera without any Raw Format. Can I still use the raw camera on ps element 2020 or is waste of time to use the raw format without any Raw Format on my digital camera?

PSE file menu has the option to open in RAW regardless of file type. ACR has some powerful tools that might help your images.

You can still use the Raw Converter; it accepts JPEG files. You use this command in Expert Edit -- File > Open in Camera Raw. Process JPEG with the Raw Converter in Photoshop Elements
