The wind was blowing super-hard and the sky looked ominous; and then, this Huge Rainbow materialized, advancing rapidly across the sky.
Then, the white tree at left became bathed in bright sunlight.
I grabbed the camera and it decided now of all times for the batteries to be dead.
I quickly grabbed another battery cartridge(a matter of seconds); but, by then, it had began pouring the rain and a cloud covered the sun.
It looks as if the white tree got lit up again while I was concentrating on the rainbow; but, when I turned my attention to it, the magic was gone.

On a poverty-level Kentucky budget, a 24-exposure roll of film would have two Christmases and a summer vacation on it and we might have to wait another six months before being able to afford developing the film.
I still have trouble remembering that it doesn't cost anything to take thousands of pictures; it just almost seems impossible to be true.

You have captured a lovely rural scene none the less.

Thanks for the compliment; I am glad you like it.
For a few moments, the perfectly entire rainbow was moving toward me at about forty miles an hour; I had never before seen an entire rainbow move with the wind like that.

It looks almost like the cloud is breathing out that rainbow. Cool!
