I have an adventurous friend who has traveled extensively. She recently returned from a wildlife safari in India. I was originally going to share her images from that trip but decided instead to share her portfolio page. I hope you enjoy looking at some of her photos from around the world. Be sure to check out the pictures in the Faces of the World album. Updating.....please see the last post for her most recent travels.

What a trip around the world - fantastic photos. I thought I had traveled quite extensively, but maybe not so much...

And she often travels by herself, Janice. She is one spunky little (literally) lady.

Thanks Hellen. Nice photos. A much as I like wildlife and scenery, the people (faces) photos are the best.

That's quite a portfolio your friend has amassed of her travels. Lovely to see them and thanks for sharing.

the people (faces) photos are the best. I'm the opposite - I prefer animal photos and scenery

I am upgrading this post. My friend has recently returned from a trip to the 5 Strans of Central Asia. I had never heard of this destination when she first posted about her trip. When I googled it I couldn't imagine going on what seemed to me to be a stressful and exhausting journey. But she is back and has shared a collection of beautiful images that I thought I would share for other "armchair" travelers.....or to perhaps inspire our more adventurous travelers.

Very nice portfoliio and I admire her bottle in travelling alone.
Kazakhstan is on my bucket list, the eagle hunters in particular, so her 'stan shots are inspiring.
And her Bhutan gallery brought back so many memories...I really ought to get my act together and upload some to my website.

Thank you Helen. Love the photos especially of people. Some phots of people, the plains, hills and yurts remind me of a one-month working trip to Mongolia (the republic) in 1993 and two trips to Inner Mongolia (a province in China) in 2004 and 2005. Good times. Thanks for the "...stans" link.

I admire her bottle in travelling alone. I do as well! And yes, you might want to update your gallery.

WOW! Lots of traveling and great photos. Does she travel as a hobby or a profession?

Travel and learning about different cultures is what she calls her "healthy addiction", kdcintx.
