Is there a way for PSE to show me what is actually done to a photo using auto smartfix? For example, how much contrast, how much exposure, etc. The reason is, auto smart fix seems to be doing a good job on most of my pics in general. I would like to setup my Nikon z6 to duplicate the adjustments in camera before editing in PSE. I was hoping somewhere in PSE would show how it adjusted this, that and the other thing... Cheers, Roger

Hi Roger, According to the Help file, this is what Auto Smart Fix does . . . Source: Color and tonal correction basics (See Automatically correct lighting and color.)NOTE:If you don't get satisfactory results with the Auto mode, you can manually make the adjustments. This short video shows how to do it. Learn How to Use the Adjust Smart Fix Command in Adobe Photoshop Elements 2022As to your question, . . . Is there a way for PSE to show me what is actually done to a photo using auto smartfix? For example, how much contrast, how much exposure, etc. Maybe there is a way but I sincerely don't know. I gave your question some thought and came up with this idea. Unfortunately, it's a convoluted way to go about it. 1. Duplicate your image. 2. Set up the display mode to Tile (Window > Images >Tile). 3. Apply Auto Smart Fix to the original image. 4. Activate the image copy. 5. Do Enhance > Adjust Color > Adjust Hue/Saturation. 6. Adjust the sliders until you replicate the results of Auto Smart Fix. 7. Do Enhance > Adjust Lighting > Shadows/Highlights. 8. Adjust the sliders until you replicate the results of Auto Smart Fix.

Thank you Sepiana. I'll also see if I can duplicate that with my in-camera settings. Thank you, Roger

Roger, you are most welcome! Let us know how it goes.
BTW, I thought of something else. Keep the Histogram panel visible. It will help you see how your manual adjustments will compare to the ones by Auto Smart Fix.
