The general solution is to use a programme which allows sorting freely your images by drag and drop: that's what the organizer offers when you have selected an album. In your sort menu choice, select 'album order'. The second part is to use the 'export as new files' menu using the option to rename with a starting text string followed by a sort order number. I have not Bridge installed as I am away from home now, but I suppose it can be done in the same way.

I am assuming by "Sequence photos" you are wanting them to be in a specific order other than the way their filenames line up , am I correct ?
FastStone would be my first choice for anything like that.
Select the images you want and copy them into a new empty folder created for them.
Click your new folder in the folder tree so the image thumbnails will display in the thumbnail browser.
The thumbnails will be sorted/organized in order, probably by ascending filename (there are several sort choices).
Grab and drag the thumbnails into the order/Sequence you want them - up in the little box where it displayed the sort order, whatever sort order it did say will change to "Custom Sort"
Keep dragging the thumbnails into the order you wish them to display.
Once the thumbnails are lined up like you want, select them all.
In the "Tools" menu, choose "Batch Rename Selected Images"
In the lower-right corner of the Batch Rename dialogue, the option we want, "Use Filename Template", should already be active; the other option is "Search and Replace"
Immediately below that should be a typing box labeled "Template"
In that box, type a # for every digit you want of a sequential number -- for example, ### will yield 001, 002, 003,....
Next, behind my sequential number, I like to type an underscore _ ; you can put anything here or nothing at all, and as many of anything you wish --- so I now have ###_ to get 001_ 002_ 003_ .....
Then, type an asterisk * to add the original filename; the template should look like this ###_* and should yield 001_OriginalFilename 002_OriginalFilename 003_OriginalFilename ....
If you want an entirely different filename, or no filename at all, you can do that too; just replace the asterisk with whatever text you want or no text at all, in which case the sequential number will be the filename.
At the right end of the Template typing box is another box that probably has the number "1" in it; this is the starting number of your sequence; you can change this to whatever number you wish your sequence to begin with.
Once you get your template and starting number to suit, click "Rename" and immediately your files will be renamed in the sequence you chose.
You can then use the newly named/sequenced images however you wish and send them to whoever you wish; use them is a slideshow; copy them to a DVD or Flashdrive and mail them or email them.

I think it can export photos; I remember trying this feature a long time ago and it worked. See this Adobe document. Export Panel - Adobe Bridge

Sepiana, many thanks again for additional comment. One concern I have is downloadng & installing Adobe Bridge 2022 it may not pick up the photos I have already made up in sequence.
In my 2017 edition when clicking Update I get messages "INITIALIZATION Error Click Check for Updates to try again or contact Customer Support". When I clicked on Customer Support I get message "Unfortunately, your browser is not supported by Adobe Account. Please update your browser to the latest version or use one of the following Microsoft Edge. As I have Microsoft Edge also installed I tried that but nowhere within Adobe could I see how to contact Adobe for help. Any help you could giveme would be gratefully appreciated.

Hi Stan, you are most welcome! Try this! 1. Go to the ProDesign Tools website I mentioned earlier in this thread. 2. Scroll down the page. 3. Click on the Get it now link. (You'll be taken to Adobe Products--Bridge--Download.) If you need to contact Adobe, . . . Via Chat1. Go to Adobe Help Center. 2. Scroll down to Contact Us. 3. Click on Start Now. It is never a good idea to allow a program to update "online", or from within itself, nor to allow automatic updates.
It is best to manually seek out and download the installer, then manually install using the "Custom" option.
One reason being, when a program is installed "online", you don't get any installation files to keep and revert back to should a future update not be to your liking.
Downloading and installing FastStone is free and no hassle; give it a try and thank me later.

Dear Sepiana, Thank you, once more, for additional guidance. Unfortunately I could not see the same Adobe screen as you did, in the UK site, but after hunting around I managed to downloaded Bridge version 2022 along with Creative Cloud. Now I can see the headings you mentioned. Indeed I was then able to export photos but unfortunately not in sequence.
Further research led me to "Live Link Training", Ken Fisher, Adobe Certified Trainer in Photoshop and Lightroom, based in the UK, who advised me of a work around How to save photos in rearranged order? - Adobe Support Community - 8770388. It works sine although a little fiddly but well worth it.
Thank you once again for all your assistance in my issue.
Yours, Stan Johnson

michelbDear michelb, Thank you so much for replying to my post. Sepiana was good enough to guide me on downloading a newer version of Bridge although I had hunt about to do it along with Creative Cloud. I was then able to export photos but unfortunately not in sequence.
