Hello, all. My name is Vicki DeVico and I'm new to this forum...and happy to be here! I'm a photographer and Photoshop/ACR user. My entry into the world of photography really began in the digital age. Prior to 2005, I had a point and shoot camera that captured decent photos (at least so I thought). After a trip to Nevada and a visit to the Valley of Fire, I came home with totally crappy photos. That's when I bought my first dSLR (a Canon Rebel and lens). The love affair with photography began and I've never looked back. I replaced my Canon equipment with Sony a couple of years ago (a7riii, a6400, a5100 converted for IR). My intro to Photoshop happened when I went back to school for a business degree. I needed an elective and digital art seemed to be a fun choice. Well, that clinched things. I'm now retired and my journey into photoshop and photography continues. In my photographic life, I've served as president for two clubs and a council of camera clubs and am still a member of four in-person groups. As for Photoshop, I continue to grow and learn. I'm an Adobe Certified Expert in Photoshop--but am still thrilled when I learn something new!
I hope to learn from all of you!

Hello Vicki. Afraid you won't learn from me. I am still a point and shoot novice. But, there are members here who really are experts, and are always willing to help out. Also welcome advice themselves.

Glad you decided to join us, Vicki. We are a friendly and supportive group and it won't take you long to become familiar with our members. When once you get a handle on our forum, perhaps you could introduce it to some of your contacts who might be new to the world of photo editing?

Thanks, whippet! I don't believe someone has to be an expert in order to teach others...just sharing is enough! Helen...I have a lot of friends who use PSElements and might benefit from joining this forum. Once I have a 'feel' for the group, I'll start to share!
