This picture was taken by me when we took our granddaughter to gymnastic camp in Texas: I look forward to seeing where your imagination takes you as you travel down this road! Have fun and if you use some techniques that others might like to learn from, please feel free to share!

Helen, thanks! Great starter image.
- Applied the Fractalius filter. - Created the fairies with Wendy's Fairy Brushes. - Ran the file through Perfect Effects. - Used Filter Forge to create the frame effect.

Sepaiana........thanks for sharing what you used to transform this lonely road to a more enchanted place. Tom.....no groans from me....I like your creative take. fstop......nothing wrong with plain vanilla......I like your painterly effect! Now that's weird.....fstop your image changed from the one I commented on....although similar in appearance the first one didn't have the torn edge or the orange background! Regardless, my comment works for both AHHHH.....you must have been editing your post while I was commenting! Like your update and thanks for sharing how you created it!

Yes, sorry about any confusion. I tinkered a bit more with the original and then replaced the original photo with the 2nd version. In the 3rd, and final version I just added a quick and simple bevel to the frame and a drop shadow to the brown paper background. I'll leave it alone now

Great examples everyone. I'm shaking in my shoes a little at putting my effort up in such illustrious company but here goes anyway. I used the Conte Crayon sketch effect Sandstone Texture Exclusion Blend Magenta Photo filter Levels Adjustment Multiply blend Photo from Pixabay (apologies for missing part of elbow) I haven't uploaded a picture before to this new forum so here's hoping I do it right...

Billie Jean....what great idea for this image! So glad you decided to "play". That's what these challenges are all about.....a little imagination, a spark of creativity, and trying to make it all come together with whatever skill we have! I have learned a lot from similar boards at EV. It isn't always about the final product but what you learn along the way. Have fun and hope you'll continue to try the challenges.

Wow, Billie Jean - excellent - the child looks like she's always been in the photo.

I love postimage, but I can't seem to find a way to post a photo that is large enough to easily view, but small enough not to cause problems for people trying to get around in the thread. Can anyone help?

small enough not to cause problems I am unclear what the problems are that you are alluding to Janice. However, I can say that you get only one size when using postimage. I think there are more choices using one of the other image sharing services (it's just not as convenient). For example, Pixentral allows a smaller image that can be clicked to view a larger version.

Janice....Seeing that cat, I'm guessing there must be a house near-by!
