Hi,
I only know enough to be dangerous and need some help. I've used Elements 9 for years and am satisfied with it. I want to buy a new Olympus TG-4, and shoot in RAW and use PSE9 to process my images. From what I've read, my old version of ACR 6.5 doesn't support the TG-4, and I would need to upgrade ACR to version 9. Is this possible, and will it work ?
Thank you for any input and assistance.

Hi zman, welcome to PSE&M!
Unfortunately, ACR 9.0 is not compatible with Elements 9. If you don't want to upgrade to Elements 13, you can convert the Olympus TG-4's Raw files to the non-proprietary DNG format using Adobe's free DNG Converter. Once your Raw files have been converted to DNG, they should open in the Raw Converter in Elements 9. Here are the links to the current version of the DNG Converter (version 9.1).

Quick follow-up. Bought my TG-4 this morning and was able to convert the proprietary .orf file to .dng with success. It took me a few tries to get it right and it does add a few extra steps with my PSE9, but works great. Thanks again for the help.

Hi, another option is a plugin called metaraw from thepluginsite. I checked and your camera is supported. It works alongside elements. It costs £40.00. This takes the extra steps out. I use several of their plugins and would happily recommend the full set at £100.00. Elements xxl and layers xxl work very well and bring elements a lot closer to full Photoshop at a fraction of the cost.
