Applied the Pyramids settings. - Changed the blending mode to Multiply. - Applied Topaz Clarity (Dynamic Contrast and Color). - Created the background with a texture by Erica Parée (Mossy Mess). - Image from Pixabay. Excellent interpretation, Sepiana! Just the right amount of transformation to allow the viewer to enjoy the impressionistic feeling without losing too much of the image's realism. Jim, thanks so much for this feedback! I do appreciate it. A lot of trial and error choosing the blending mode and reducing the opacity until I was pleased with the results.

For this one I followed the tut then duplicated the result and applied the find edges filter to that duplicate and applied the multiply blend mode on that layer. I also applied a layer mask to that layer and softened the edges of the page with a soft brush. Image from Pixabay

First attempt - tried it selectively on a Chihuly glass sculpture basically following the tut but adding a layer mask to focus the effect on the sculpture. Like the effect everyone is getting and will have to play some more - thanks Frank. Tony

Looks like you're having fun with this effect, Sepiana! I think my favorite might be the balloons--not sure why, though. Might be the simplicity of the original image. I need to play a bit more, too!

VickiD, thanks for the comment! The balloons are my favorite as well. They look "wild" (psychedelic?).

These are all GREAT, and the tweaks that you have made to this tutorial are even better!
Thanks for taking part in this Creative Effect Challenge - I hope you found the action helpful.
