A couple of days ago, I wanted to edit a couple of pictures from my organizer, and Editor will not open! The little banner saying "Loading Adobe Photoshop Elements Editor Workspace...." churns away for about 60 seconds, then disappears! I'm using ver. 19.0, downloaded Nov 2020, worked with no problem till now! Has anyone else had this occur?

Hi Wayne,
I never encountered this problem when I was using PSE 2021. I paid a visit to the Adobe Photoshop Elements forum and learned this happens quite often with this version. One workaround which seems to work is to launch PSE 2021 with administrator rights -- right-click on the desktop shortcut and select "Run as administrator".

Thanks for the tip Sepiana, but it still won't open. I even rebooted the computer before doing this, but no luck! Guess I'll have to have one of our "coffee's"

Wayne, here is another suggestion I found on the Adobe forum. Give it a try!
Delete/Restore the Editor's Preferences file.
1. Go to Edit>Preferences>General. 2. Click on the "Reset Preferences on next launch" button. 3. Ignore the "This cannot be undone." warning and click OK. 4. Close Elements and then start it again.

Hi Wayne, * If you can't access the Preferences dialog (because PSE doesn't start up), please, try the following: - Hold down [Shift+Alt+Ctrl] keys - Launch the PSE Editor - In the dialog that opens, confirm deleting the settings file.
** Also, you can reset the PSE preferences by deleting its "Prefs" file manually.
Under Windows, you can find it at: C:\Users\<YourUserName>\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Photoshop Elements\19.0\Editor\Adobe Photoshop Elements 19 Prefs.psp
Under MacOS: Macintosh HD:Users:<YourUserName>:Library:Preferences:Adobe Photoshop Elements 19 Settings:Adobe Photoshop Elements 19 Prefs.psp (*If you can't see your "~Library" folder press [Shift+Cmd+.] to unhide it.)

Thanks for the suggestions Sepiana and Andrei, but unfortunately neither of them worked, so I'm backing everything up and deleting the program, and attempting to reload it. Not sure if that will work but from what I've seen it's just impossible to chat or talk with anyone at Adobe!!!

Wayne, uninstalling/reinstalling Elements may do the job. If not, you can reach out to Adobe for help. Via Chat1. Go to Adobe Help Center. 2. Scroll down to Contact Us. 3. Click on Start Now. Via Phone1 (800) 833-6687
