Hi everyone, Using the Lasso tool (Lasso, Magnetic Lasso, Polygonal Lasso) can be a baffling experience for Elements users, particularly new ones. How and when to use it? That's the question. In a nutshell, . . . Lasso -- Makes rough selections (the kind you plan to "clean up" later). Magnetic Lasso -- Selects objects with well-defined edges; prefers images with strong contrast between object and background. Polygonal Lasso -- Selects objects by creating line segments which are perfectly straight. In this video, George Peirson, will show you the ins and outs of using these three lassos. How to Use the Photoshop Elements Lasso ToolNOTE:Content-Aware Fill was introduced in PSE 13. Starting with PSE 11, Adobe introduced an updated Refine Edge (brought over from Photoshop). Refine Edge in earlier versions will have a different interface, fewer choices of adjustments, fewer View Modes, and limited output (how your selection is sent back to the Editor).
