I had recently seen a picture from our local camera club posted online. When I saw the train my first thought was to crop to create an abstract and try to create a similar look. I finally gave up on that idea and worked on creating a somewhat similar look with textures. At the end I took it into Studio 2 and used the restyle filter. It added the blue and yellow tones. Finally, adjusted in Camera Raw. To see the inspiration for this image see #8 in the 2021-2022 First Place Winners in this thread . Added a background texture

There are a lot of really creative results for this Challenge. I love them all!!! When I first saw the image Sepiana posted, my head immediately went to what became my entry...a Christmas ornament! It took a lot to get the extraction to the point where it looked good...then I had to find the perfect Christmas tree (found it on Pixabay). I used a layer mask to cut out the train, dragged the masked layer to the tree image after getting rid of the ornament on the tree (but left the hanging thread). Then I sized the train and tilted it a bit. Not sure if Elements has the experimental filters that PS has, but used one of the Neural filters (Harmonizer) to sync the 'look' and colors so the train looks like it is lit with the tree lights. Added a bit of a vignette, and...voila!

Oh what a great idea, Vicki! It makes the prefect tree ornament. It looks like the tree lights are making it glow. Because I am still using an older version of PS that filter isn't available to me.....darn!

Topaz Studio 2: Desaturated Grunge, Color Blast Grit, Dramatic HDR, Black & White, followed by a gold gradient at 40% soft light. Thanks for the challenge, Sepiana. Jim, your combo of effects paid off. I really like how it accentuated the engine details in a grunge/HDR way. Simply beautiful!
