Frank, another great job! The "faded" background makes the engine stand out with its bright colors and vivid details. An eye-catching image!

I took it into Studio 2 and used the restyle filter. It added the blue and yellow tones. Finally, adjusted in Camera Raw. Added a background texture Helen, nicely done. An eye-pleasing effect overall. I like the added blue and yellow tones.

Someone call the NTSB quickly.Used westiemom's sketch effect and smokostock's "eating raspberry cakes from plastic plates" texture. Jim, great choice of effect! I like how you "distorted" the engine, giving it a cartoonish look. I'm curious. Did you use the Liquify filter?

Added 2 images from Pixabay. Smoke brush from Deviant Art by xresch-d39vg7n Created sketch effect manually. Topped off with a gently weathered texture from the Coffee Shop reduced to 51% opacity. BillieJean, nice job! A very creative mix of techniques. I like the resulting soft, pastel colors.

The Little Engine That Could kdcintx, great idea and perfect execution! It made me smile. I envision it as an illustration for a children's book.

I had to find the perfect Christmas tree (found it on Pixabay). I used a layer mask to cut out the train, dragged the masked layer to the tree image after getting rid of the ornament on the tree (but left the hanging thread). Then I sized the train and tilted it a bit. Not sure if Elements has the experimental filters that PS has, but used one of the Neural filters (Harmonizer) to sync the 'look' and colors so the train looks like it is lit with the tree lights. Added a bit of a vignette, and...voila! Vicki, all this work paid off in the end. Beautiful image, colorful, great syncing. This would make a wonderful Christmas card. Back in Elements 2022, Adobe introduced a new feature -- Artistic Effects. These effects are based on Photoshop's Neural filters. However, they don't have all the bells and whistles of their Photoshop counterpart. Artistic Effects in Photoshop Elements 2022

Jim, great choice of effect! I like how you "distorted" the engine, giving it a cartoonish look. I'm curious. Did you use the Liquify filter? No. I used the TWIRL filter in an attempt to achieve the "train wreck" look, Sepiana.

I used the TWIRL filter in an attempt to achieve the "train wreck" look, Sepiana. Jim, thanks for answering my question! I never thought of the Twirl filter. Very creative use of this filter.

Jim, very creative mix of techniques. I really like how the engine seems to glow. I can see this hanging on the wall in a children's room.
