Here is a neat little programe that is free to install and use for non commercial use. Although the Demo version has a nag screen, it is still quite powerful and can save full sized images. You can also install a plugin compatible with PS and PS Elements. Abstract Curves: abstractcurves.com/The description on their webpage says, "Generate stunning abstract backgrounds, wallpapers, posters, logos, paintings, patterns, icons and avatars. Let your imagination run wild." I think that scrapbook designers may find this useful to incorporate some of the images in their designs. The algorithms generate various abstract shapes and designs, and you can tweak and change the waves and colours. If you wish to install the plugin then click on the "Host" button during the install and navigate to your plugin folder. To use the plugin with PS Elements, create a new layer (transparent, white or whatever) and apply the "Abstract Curve" image to that layer. After the image in generated, experiment by changing the layer blend mode (eg, screen or soft light) and create a layer mask or clipping mask to create the frame or other effect you want. Kind regards Chris PS Here is an example of a frame using Abstract Curves.

Looks interesting, Chris. I was just going to give it a try but see it is just for Windows users.

Chris, thanks! I'm adding this to our Plug-ins thread on the Goodies board.

Chris, thanks for the information. I checked their site but it says it works for Photoshop CC 2019. We're now up to version CC2022. I sent a question to them asking about host versions. If you're interested, I'll post their answer when I hear back from them.

Thank you for checking VickyD. Please let us know what they say. Hopefully, it will work with the latest version of CC2022. I suspect that they just have not updated their site recently.*
Kind regards Chris
*They say it works up to PS Elements 2019, but it works fine with my PS Elements 2020.

Chris, here's their reply...so all is good. I'll probably install this today. Looks like a lot of fun to play with!!! "Thank you very much for your interest in our product. The plugin can work in different programs that support .8bf format. So I'm sure it will work in Photoshop CC 2022 and future versions. You can add your graphics host(Plugins folder) manually using the "Add Host" button. It's in the bottom left of the components page of the installer. Make sure that you select the right version of AbstractCurves (32-bit or 64-bit). 64-bit plugins only work in 64-bit graphic hosts and 32-bit plugins are only compatible with 32-bit applications. Feel free to contact us if you have any questions or suggestions."
