Sunflowers just love the camera, and the background texture is perfect. Did you consider cropping into a portrait mode?

Thank you! I have a few different variations of this Perhaps I can post more. The texture came from 2 lil owls blooming collection and the background is my own 2by 2 foot board I did myself. I am pleased with my first attempt at one. The nice thing about it is you get two out of one board. Have to think about what to do on the other side.

I took so many peony pictures back in May. I have been having fun "playing" with them. The only problem is that when I'm in "play mode" I don't pay enough attention to what I've actually done....need to work on that. I know I did create a new layer at the end and filled it with the brown from the background. Used overly blend mode and reduced opacity. I wanted to tame doown the bright tones in the flower a bit.

It’s so easy when you are caught up in the moment creating your masterpiece to lose track of all the steps you have taken in the process of getting to your final destination. Love this Helen. There is a glow to the flower which against that dark background is as Janice has remarked quite gorgeous.

What a beautiful flower, such lovely details in the centre. Someone needs to develop an app that tracks what resources were used and what processes were involved. I thought I had found one recently, but it didn’t really work like I was hoping it would. Back to pen and paper...if I can be bothered.

That's nice Judy. Not something I would (or could) do but I like it. My now-retired GP is an outstanding watercolorist and your rendition reminds me of some of his paintings. He paints a lot of everyday stuff that most would never consider. Here are some of his paintings. You have to scroll down for his watercolors. Nice. Thanks. Clive
