I would like to create an image with multiple photos in PSE. There used to be an automatic function way back in the earliest version of PSE that blended the colours of the photos but it no longer available (I checked with Adobe). I'd like to blend the edges of the photos together, overlapping some - basically a collage but blending the photos together. Any suggestions? step by step would be good - written better than an online tutorial. Thanks a lot for any help.

thanks - those are pretty helpful - especially the video with the weird puppet, lOL.
I guess the proper word for what I'm looking for is "montage" rather than "collage"
It's too bad that PSE got rid of the automatic tool to do this - I actually contacted the Adobe guy on FB and he said they eliminated it several versions ago (I'm guessing I was using it between 1992 to 1996) but that they've gotten several requests so might consider adding it back in to future version.
thanks again.

lparis, you are most welcome! Post back if you need any further help.
I wonder if the Adobe Designing Team will bring this feature back in Elements 14. I guess we will soon find out. If Adobe sticks to its schedule, Elements 14 should be released in mid-September (week of Sep 20).
As a side note -- That puppet gets on my nerves. LOL!!!

I'm going to give it a try tomorrow when I have lots of time -- and you're right - that puppet is kind of scary as well as annoying!! I'm hoping it will work - I've been trying to figure it out on my own and finally gave it up. it's too bad they get rid of some really useful things when they "improve" and upgrade!!
thanks again.

it's too bad they get rid of some really useful things when they "improve" I concur; I really enjoyed playing with the lighting-effects (I think that is what it was called) in version 11, but now it is gone too. As far I as I know, they do not offer explanations as to why they remove certain features. I for one would appreciate that, as there may well be good reasons; I am willing to listen, so I wish they would share.

Bob Gager from Adobe sometimes pops up on the Facebook Adobe Photoshop Elements page and will answer a lot of questions.

But at least Adobe suggests possible alternatives for some of the removed features.
