The big surprise would be if she looked in there and didn't find anything.....
Yeah, there are a few crafty things in there; one I remember is some little plastic rectangles with rows and columns of closely spaced holes, and a bunch of colored yarn; the idea is to poke the yarn through the proper holes to come up with a Unicorn, sort of like needlepoint or embroidery.
She has been getting all sorts of interesting mail out of that box ever since she was less than two years old; it has been one of my better ideas; of course the mailman gets all the credit.
Since she has gotten older/bigger, it can be a challenge to keep it interesting; and, quarters, nickels, and dimes aren't as interesting as folding money --- for shopping, NOT for saving --- she is always very clear about that.
When she was about three, she got ahold of a few dollars, and some old woman asked her "are you going to save that?" ; she politely informed her "this money is for shopping --- NOT for saving" ; nip that saving foolishness in the bud.
